Site's Online! ...Kind of
Musings on Neocities, Astro, and lost progress.
-- Tremendo Dude, 2/11/2025

You know that feeling when you make something you’re proud of, put it out there for everyone to see… and then tear it all down entirely to start all over again?
Last night, I finished making a site using an easy online tutorial.1 got a neat personal site online, and I wrote a big blog post thingy to celebrate it. Today, I started over entirely, deleting the old site and following an Astro tutorial instead. Which I did do on purpose, but… I completely forgot to back up the last blog post I made directly on the live site.
…Oops.
It’s not too bad, though. Mostly it was just rambling about the things I was doing, the help I was getting from my brother, the shenanigans that led to me going to sleep at night (playing weefee with Jaredisking). Thoughts gone off to the aether, just like everything else I’m writing here, probably. But hey, maybe one or two people will read these thoughts someday. And if nothing else, I’ll read them, and, right now, that’s good enough for me. 💪
Progress is going steady as I try to get back in focus with everything I’m trying to do. I have a semblance of a website. Not as pretty as the first one was, but soon it’ll be way more capable. Not having to duplicate code for every page sounds like a good prospect to chase. And I think I can manage that pretty quickly. Honestly, by the time anyone reads this, I’ll have probably figured it out.
Anyways, I’ve rambled enough for now. I got tutorials to run through. Gonna learn Astro, make this site, and make all the sites I need to make to do the things I wanna do.
Let’s do this shii.
- footnote
- a foot that notes
Maybe someday I’ll complete my task log:
- eat a banana 🍌
- ==take over the world==
- …
- profit

HTML for People is pretty neat. (I could have just linked this in the main text, but I wanted to test how footnotes worked!) ↩
